1. Description of the Service

CV Tailor is an online tool that helps you build a base CV from reusable profile cells and tailor it to specific job descriptions using AI. You may download the resulting documents in Word format. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may not use another person's account without permission.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to use or share.
• Upload another person's personal information without their consent.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Content and ownership

You retain ownership of all content you upload or create using the Service, including your profile information, cells, and generated CVs. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

AI-generated suggestions are provided to assist you. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of any content before using it in a job application.

5. Payments, subscriptions, and refunds

CV Tailor offers a free plan and a Pro plan. The Pro plan is billed at $6.99/month on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe.

• Billing: you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the subscription fees.
• Cancellation: you may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account page. You will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds: fees are generally non-refundable unless required by law or at our sole discretion.
• Price changes: we may change subscription fees with reasonable notice. Changes apply to your next billing cycle after the notice period.

6. Free plan and usage limits

The free plan includes a monthly allowance of tailoring runs and exports. Bonus credits from coupon codes are one-time and are consumed before your monthly allowance. We may change free plan limits with notice.

7. Disclaimers

The Service and all AI-generated content are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in job interviews or offers. You are solely responsible for the final content of any CV or job application you submit.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CV Tailor and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100 if you did not pay.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CV Tailor and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts located in New York.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
